I was going to start by saying we had a quiet day because we didn't leave the Park, but in hindsight we had a very busy day. Maybe not just a real exciting day to begin with, but it picked up.
Even though we are in the desert and it's windy here a lot of the time there comes a point where you just have to do some cleaning. It was window washing day. I pulled all the screens off and vacuumed them. I guess it's been a while because I found some poplar fluff that must have been there since last summer. Oh dear! Then it was window washing time. I did the inside with glass cleaner and used a bucket with plain water and a squeegee on the outside. Installed the screens and job was done.
About noon I saw a beautiful white/yellow/black motor home making its way down the road. Yay! Tom and Deb (Celebrating the Dance) and the Stinger B have arrived! I had considered taking my lawn chair over and watch Tom back in and set up......but nah, I would hate somebody watching me! I did pop out and welcome Deb and be sure they knew about happy hour at our place.
When we were in Mexico yesterday we purchased a couple of items for our lake property. We had looked at some wall hangings but didn't see anything unique and that caught our eye. What we decided on are these. We think they are pretty nice. Hard to tell in the picture but they are just under three feet tall.
Our new wall art. They are made from twisted wire. The 'leaves' are looped wire and painted.
The same artwork but turned over. It's like we bought four instead of just two. I like to think we have spring and fall leaves.
We just had to have this little guy too!
So the crew came over for a happy hour session. Cheryl shared a bit of her baking. Apparently she didn't trust my quality control. The plate contents disappeared so I assume they passed the test. A couple of recipes were passed along as well.
The group is getting bigger! From left, Bob, Joanne, Pat, Cheryl, Deb, Tom, Ken, Kim and Bill who was guarding the brownies. Hey wait, there aren't any left! Bill!!
A golden sunset tonight.
After supper we were treated to a Christmas concert from our middle Grandson's school. The principal arranges the concert to be live streamed so we watched it on Facebook. That is so cool. Just like we were there in Alberta.....except we didn't have to dress up for the cold!
