After two days of rain and with the passing of a cold front, the day started bright and cool. We decided to get out of town and head toward the Gulf. We headed toward the coast on Hwy 44, the Fort Island Trail. The ditches were full of water and quite a few palm fronds littered the road.

| We stopped at this campground to have a look around. We had heard it floods after big rains which is why we didn't choose it. As you see in the pictures below.....I'm glad we didn't stay here. |

Hello and happy New Years Eve eve! (This is Beau using Kevin's laptop) Loved the photos; the one of the nuclear plant reminded me of Kevin's love of the Simpsons (Homer works in a nuclear plant). And the cute little birds hopping on one foot, aww! Great post guys, safe travels and happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteToo bad it was so cold. You kind of expect Florida to be warm all the time as so many go there for the winter. lol
