After wandering around St Augustine for two days we thought we owed ourselves a little R&R on the beach, so we packed up and headed to Anastasia Island and the State Park. It cost $8/car but the parking was free and you pretty much had the beach to yourself. The beach had tons of pretty shells and we came home with a good sized bag full. Not sure what we intend to do with all these shells as we seem to do the same thing at every beach we visit!

| They work hard at keeping the sand dunes by planting grasses in them to keep the sand from blowing. |

Saturday and Sunday, December 1 & 2
Saturday was pretty wet. In fact it poured rain for a while until the sun came out just long enough to push the temperature and humidity higher, then it would rain again and cool things down a smidge. This repeated most of the day.
