November 16 (Thursday)
Today was moving
day. We enjoyed the week in Flagstaff and will certainly return at some point.
We had been staying at Greer's Pine Shadows RV Park. It's an ok park nestled
among the Ponderosa Pines. The campground is a bit old with lots of permanent
residents but the park is very well maintained. We would stay there again as a
home base, but not sure we would like it to just hang-out. The WIFI signal was
strong and pretty fast, likely because we were parked next to the WIFI
antennae!
We left Flagstaff and headed down the I17 just over an hour to Camp Verde. The way south to Camp Verde.....

We are staying at
Zane Grey RV Park about 8 miles east of the town on Route 260. A bit far out from everything
we want to see in the Sedona, Cottonwood and Prescott areas, but we'll see how
the charm of this park makes up for the distance. So far we are very impressed!
Very helpful staff. The gals in the office are great to work with, the
gentleman that helped me park the trailer was very helpful, and the laundry
room is spotless. The sites are all fine crushed stone, wide and level. Our
site backs onto Clear Creek (dry at the moment). The only fault so far were the
two mosquitoes we saw, one of which bit me. That is 200% more than we've seen
all month! The other issue is WIFI, which is very slow, and our Roam mobility
hotspot doesn't work from here. I think I see a Verizon Jetpack in our future.
A gorgeous sunset to end the day.
That was Our View From Here!
Looks like an okay RV Park. Highly recommend Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood. Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteIt's nothing fancy, but the laundry is immaculate, so a win for Cheryl!
DeleteWe should at least take a drive through Dead Horse. I know you guys loved it.
Love your sunset picture, gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to keep up with Ray! He's the master is sunsets. :-)
