Farewell to Nova Scotia, hello again New Brunswick

From the unofficial/official song of Nova Scotia.....

Farewell to Nova Scotia, the sea-bound coast, may your mountains dark and dreary be.For when I am far away on the briny ocean tossed,Will you ever heave a sigh or a wish for me?

Saturday, September 29
It started out pretty gloomy today, but the weather was supposed to clear so off we went down the highway. We had been in Nova Scotia since October 5 and time to head to the next province, New Brunswick. We had stayed at Dunromin Campground and we were heading to All Done Campground. I swear these names are not made up!

A gloomy start to the day, but the occasional ray of sun shone through.

An eerie look.

Yes, it's blurred.....but it sort of looks like a painting!

The foliage is getting very colourful.

Lots of traffic near Halifax.

We found that as you got further from the sea the leaves became more colourful. I suspect they have had a bit of frost here to start the leaves changing colour.

The main highways in Nova Scotia are very good. Not so much on some of the secondary highways though.

There is a stretch of toll highway in Nova Scotia.

Chunk of toll highway.

Last town in Nova Scotia.

First large town in New Brunswick.

Still a week or so early for peak colours.

Lots of farms in this part of New Brunswick.

Near our campground.

Across the road from our campground.
Main office at the campground (All Done Camping near Sussex, NB) isn't exactly pretty, but the couple that run the place are very welcoming and helpful.

A very nice little river flows through the property.

We are here for two weeks and lots to explore in New Brunswick.

....and that was Our View From Here!

  2. Hopefully the sun comes out again for you. We are certainly having an "Indian Summer" here in southern BC. Temps forecasted for this next week around 20C but cooler in the morning. When are you planning to cross into the USA?
