I don't get a cold too often, but when I do it's like the worst cold ever. I'm the typical poster boy for a man-cold. Everything hurts, headache, watery eyes, sore throat,.....you get the idea. So for the last two days I have been staring at the inside of my eyelids. Never turned on the computer and hadn't been outside, and with the weather as nice as it is it just made me feel worse. At least at home where it's near record lows I wouldn't mind being cooped up for a few days.
So today I feel much better, and now Cheryl is not so good. It's not surprising that when you live in a 300 square foot space that sharing bugs is nearly a certainty. I made a run for more cold medication to Walmart. Must be a lot of sick people around because the aisles were full of people looking for cold medication and the shelves were nearly bare. I also picked up a jug of DEF for the truck and stopped at the friendly Wells Fargo Bank to exchange some large denomination bills for smaller ones.
Hopefully her cold will be shorter lived than mine because we are booked on a bus trip to Puerto Penasco, Mexico and we leave at 0730 tomorrow (Saturday) morning. No refunds, so I guess we go regardless and hopefully we won't spend the whole weekend in the hotel room. We get back to Yuma Tuesday evening.
We haven't done much the last couple of days, and only got out to get this sunset shot from tonight. No clouds makes for a boring sunset (I can't believe I'm saying that). The daylight hours are slowly increasing. With such beautiful sunshine here a few extra minutes per day doesn't hurt!
I'm not taking the laptop or cellphone to Mexico, so I'll post about our trip early next week. Happy New Year all!
